In keeping with the Rockhaven spirit of self-sufficiency, residents prepare their own meals and provide for their own housekeeping. However, wonderful local programs such as Meals on Wheels and a free shopping service are available to those desiring assistance. Who manages Rockhaven? Rockhaven is managed by Upson Trust, a non-profit trust founded in 1973 to carry out the terms of the will of Stanley A. Mason. It was his generous gift, which made the establishment of Rockhaven possible. Can I bring my pet to Rockhaven? Rockhaven does allow residents to have a small dog or cat. A security deposit is required. Who is eligible to live at Rockhaven? We ask that you be a member of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, and be 55 years of age or over. In the event that there is not a Christian Scientist available to fill a vacancy, persons of other denominations may be considered for residency. As Rockhaven is an independent living facility, residents must be fully able to care for themselves. Where is Rockhaven?
